(Seattle, WA – December 9, 2004)-- Portage Bay Marine Inc. (PBM), announced today the release of  Vessel™ 4.0.

Vessel 4.0 ships with all features standard and includes several new features as well as numerous improvements in usability.  Vessel 4.0 retains all the features of previous versions of Vessel.

The new features include an electrical management system that ties together all electrical components to assess electrical system capability including battery runtime using average and ABYC load calculations.

Also included is a new Chart Manager that makes it easy to select and correct charts and record chart corrections.  Included is a chart list of all NOAA charts.

Vessel 4.0 continues Portage Bay's tradition of constantly improving their products.  Backward compatible with previous Yacht versions and all previous versions of Vessel, Vessel has an expanded template library to with over 2000 items (including maintenance recommendations).

Vessel 4.0 is priced lower than previous versions of Vessel on a feature-for-feature basis.  As usual, upgrades will be available at 50% off list price for registered users of previous versions of Yacht or Vessel.
